BASIC Computer Course Details

The basic computer course will introduce you to computer hardware, software, and operating systems. You will learn MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and email usage, typing skills, and keyboard shortcuts. The course will also cover basic troubleshooting and maintenance tips:

Module 1: Introduction to Computers

• What is a Computer?
• Types of Computers (Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Server)
• Basic Components of a Computer (CPU, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse)
• Understanding Hardware and Software

Module 2: Operating System Basics

• What is an Operating System? (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Desktop and Taskbar Navigation
• Files and Folders Management
• Using the Recycle Bin
• Basic Computer Settings (Date & Time, Volume, Display)

Module 3: Input and Output Devices

• Keyboard Basics (Typing, Shortcuts, Function Keys)
• Mouse Functions (Right Click, Left Click, Scrolling)
• Printers and Scanners
• Speakers and Microphones

Module 4: Working with Microsoft Office

• Microsoft Word (or Google Docs)
• Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)
• Microsoft PowerPoint (or Google Slides)

Module 5: Internet and Email Basics

• Introduction to the Internet
• Using Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
• Searching on Google Efficiently
• Setting Up and Using Email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo)
• Sending and Receiving Emails
• Attaching Files and Images
• Email Etiquette and Safety
